Biography
ShanTil Yell acts as administrative support for DMSE faculty and the graduate and undergraduate academic offices. Before starting at DMSE in August 2023, she was a public librarian and active labor union member for several years in the Greater Boston Area. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with loved ones (especially her cat Freya) and creative pursuits that include writing and singing in the MIT women’s chorale. Yell has a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in library and information science from Simmons University. She is an RYT-200 certified yoga instructor.
