André Obin

Biography

André Obin helps coordinate postdoctoral and visiting scholar appointments for DMSE, acting as the liaison between the department and MIT’s International Scholars Office. Obin has 20 years of various professional experience in higher education, travel, music, and finance. He earned his bachelor’s degree in electroacoustic composition from Wheaton College, where he graduated summa cum laude and was selected to Phi Beta Kappa in recognition of high attainments in liberal scholarship. His fervor for knowledge was strengthened while at Wadham College at Oxford University, where he concentrated on the history and philosophy of science. Obin is active in the Boston and international music scene. He also enjoys art, running, and reading.
