Student Awards Nomination
DMSE invites nominations for our annual student awards celebrating achievements from the academic year 2023-2024.
All nominations including letters and other nomination materials (if applicable) must be submitted by May 3, 2024. Nominations are reviewed and decided by the Undergraduate Committee and the Departmental Committee on Graduate Studies.
Students who graduated on the September 2023 and February 2024 degree lists are eligible to be nominated for awards, as well as students who plan to graduate on the May 2024 degree list. Teaching awards focus on subjects taught in fall 2023 and spring 2024.

Nomination Form
If nominating someone for the Best Paper Award, the following materials are required:
- Nomination form
- Letter from faculty member
If nominating someone for the Best Doctoral Thesis Award, the following materials are required:
- Nomination form
- Statement from the student describing the thesis
- Letter from the thesis advisors
- Additional letters from the thesis committee
