Biography

Matthew Lewis supports high-level administrative operations and event planning for major DMSE and Materials Research Laboratory (MRL) events and programs, including MRL’s Materials Day, the Steel Research Group’s Annual Meeting, the Tasan Group’s Alloy Design Workshop, and QuesTek Innovations’ ICMD Short Courses. Before starting at DMSE in 2025, he served as an administrative assistant at the MIT Alumni Association, where he provided event support for large-scale programs such as Tech Reunions, Family Weekend, and the Alumni Leadership Conference. Previously, Lewis worked in event operations for Blue Man Group, coordinating performance logistics to keep nightly shows running smoothly. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Fitchburg State University. Outside of work, he enjoys cheering on the Buffalo Bills, aquascaping his aquariums, and spending quality time with his fiancée.
