Biography

Cassandra Takeda oversees financial activities and transactions for DMSE faculty and their labs, ensuring compliance with MIT and sponsor policies through regular account reviews. She brings 20 years of experience as Senior Financial Coordinator for the Program of Medical Education at Harvard Medical School, where she managed departmental budgets, gifts, and grants, and supported the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellowship program by managing student accounts. Passionate about animals, music, and the arts—especially dance and visual arts—Takeda enjoys long walks, yoga, and quality time with her husband and their dog.
