Ana Paula Nascimento

Biography

Ana Paula Nascimento joined DMSE in 2024. Her role involves planning and executing DMSE events, including lectures, reunions, retreats, graduations, conferences and workshops. An expert in project and event management, she plays a crucial role in fostering connections within academic and professional communities. Previously, Nascimento worked as the Projects and Membership Outreach Manager at Open Learning/Jameel World Education Lab (J-WEL). In this role, she oversaw impactful projects for J-WEL member organizations and their higher education institutions. She has an MS in city planning from MIT’s Department of Urban Studies and Planning, a BS in Conservation and Resource Studies from UC Berkeley, and a PhD in research policy from Lund University, Sweden. Outside of work, Nascimento enjoys writing children’s picture books and going for walks with her dog.
