Felice Frankel invites readers to see the beauty in science

MIT research scientist and science photographer Felice Frankel has released a new book, Phenomenal Moments, showcasing striking images of natural phenomena—from flowers to sautéing peppers—that invite viewers to uncover the scientific processes at work. A selection of the images has been featured in multiple publications, including Popular Science and Next Avenue. “Making images is my way of seeing and better understanding why things are the way they are,” Frankel writes in the book. Frankel also serves as visual science communication specialist for DMSE.
