Elsa Olivetti named one of the 2021 Margaret MacVicar Fellows

Prof. Elsa Olivetti has been named one of the 2021 MacVicar Fellows. The Margaret MacVicar Faculty Fellowship is MIT's highest teaching honor, recognizing excellence in undergraduate education; each year, several new fellows are selected from a group of extraordinary candidates from across the Institute.

Excellent educators are highly skilled in many different areas, including lecturing, curriculum building, and mentoring.  Professor Olivetti excels to an extraordinary degree in all these areas. She is a brilliant teacher who cares deeply about her students. Elsa’s dedication to mentoring our undergraduate students sets the highest possible standard that ripples across our entire community.

MIT is celebrating MacVicar Day on March 12. Because last year's celebration was cancelled due to the campus shut-down, this celebration honors both the 2020 and 2021 MacVicar Fellows, including another outstanding Course 3 educator, Prof. Polina Anikeeva, who was named a MacVicar Fellow last year.

Please congratulate Prof. Olivetti for receiving this exceptional honor!
