Water oxidation
May 21, 2020
Oxygen evolution reactions are important for production of hydrogen and ammonia, for making carbon-neutral synthetic fuels, and production of metals from oxide ores. But the reactions are still not well understood. Prof. Yang Shao-Horn and her team have done a detailed analysis of the process at a molecular level, which could lead to the development of much more efficient catalysts for this process, and they have published they research in Nature Catalysis.
