The future of carbon-free electricity

The declining cost of solar and wind electricity generation and large-scale electricity storage systems suggests that carbon-free electricity generation will soon be commercially competitive. Dr. Marco Ferrera, DMSE Professor Yet-Ming Chiang, and Dr. John Deutch have published a paper charting future projects for renewable electricity systems and how the targets for decarbonization might be met.
