Bioelectronics Innovation Prize

Professor Polina Anikeeva is part of a team of researchers who were recently awarded a $1M bioelectronics innovation prize for their endeavors to produce an implantable wireless device that can assess, stimulate and block the activity of nerves that control organs. In particular, they are working to "restore bladder function for people with spinal cord injuries or millions of others who suffer from incontinence."
