First MIT Metals & Minerals Symposium

May 10, 2017

The first Metals & Minerals for the Environment (MME) Symposium will take place at MIT on May 11-12, 2017.

The Symposium is meant to foster a deeper connection between the MIT research community and the metals and minerals industry around the topic of environmental and social sustainability.

The event will feature speakers from across MIT, including Bevin Engelward (Biological Engineering), Matthew Amengual (Sloan School), and Sanjay Sarma (Mechanical Engineering), and industry experts Jean-Pierre Birat, Phillip Mackey and Tadeu Carneiro from the ferrous and non-ferrous sectors. More information is available online.

The MME Symposium is designed primarily to present ongoing researchers and students with existing tie to the sector. We have a few spots left for interested researchers and students on a first come, first serve basis. Please contact Suzanne Greene at segreene@mit.edu to inquire about registration.
