The Battery Show, North America's largest advanced battery technology event, has announced that Don Sadoway will be one of the keynote speakers at the 2018 event, where he will discuss his groundbreaking work on the liquid metal battery.
About Dr. Donald R. Sadoway:
Sadoway is known for his groundbreaking work at MIT, serving as John F. Elliott Professor of Materials Chemistry in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, where he discovered both the liquid metal battery and molten oxide electrolysis. Sadoway is also a co-founder of Ambri Inc. (formerly Liquid Metal Battery Corporation), which is commercializing the liquid metal battery technology for grid-scale energy storage. In addition to his work with Ambri, he is a co-founder of Boston Metal (formerly Boston Electrometallurgical Corp.), which is commercializing molten oxide electrolysis for the production of metals.
Sadoway’s presentation, Pivotal Innovation in Energy Storage, focuses on the work done in his MIT lab on the liquid metal battery. The keynote presentation will take place Tuesday, September 11 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM.
