Faculty Highlight: Michael Rubner

Professor Rubner has long collaborated with Professor Robert Cohen of Chemical Engineering. Their work has yielded anti-fog coatings as well as synthetic "backpacks" for living cells.
Each year, DMSE gives its graduating students (grad and undergrads) a cast bronze medallion of the MIT seal. These medallions are entirely prepared, cast, and finished by students in the DMSE Foundry using the lost wax/investment casting process.
