Seminar title: Atomic Level Insights into Nanoscale Materials for Electronics and Catalysis Using Aberration Corrected Transmission Electron Microscopy (AC-TEM) Jamie Warner leads the Nanostructured Materials group in the Department of Materials at the University of Oxford, where he is a Professor of Materials. His research uses aberration corrected transmission electron microscopy (AC-TEM) to probe nanomaterials at the single atom level combined with synthetic methods and nanoscale fabrication to solve challenges in electronics, opto-electronics and catalysis applications. He holds a Royal Society University Research Fellowship and an ERC Consolidator Grant. In particular his research has demonstrated how low voltage AC-TEM can be used to study the structure of beam sensitive materials such as 2D crystals, nanotubes, metal nanoclusters, nanocrystals, organic molecules and transition metal dichalcogenides with single atom sensitivity.
