MADMEC 2008:
"Materials Solutions for Alternative Energy"
PROPOSALS DUE: April 25, 5 pm, Room 6-107

TEAM REGISTRATION

Teams must submit their registration information and proposals by April 25. Please submit paper versions of your proposals to Amy Shea in the DMSE Academic Office, Room 6-107. Send an electronic version of your proposal to Mike Tarkanian, tarky at mit dot edu. Team leaders will receive an email confirming the receipt of your proposal. Proposals should include the following:

• Team name and team leader
• Team logo
• Team members, MIT affiliations, contact info, short bios
• Team photo or photos of individual members
• The challenge your team has chosen
• Project abstract <250 words
• Overview of the team’s proposed device, its design and technical performance
• Review of the intellectual property space of the device and its incorporated technologies
• Disclosure of "prior art": research or work you have carried out that applies directly to your entry in MADMEC
• Project timeline
• Expense estimates

After the April 25th deadline, the MADMEC panel of judges will select qualified teams to continue participation in the contest. These teams will receive up to $1000 in funding to build their prototype device. We will release the names of the teams selected to participate in MADMEC as soon as possible after the April 25th deadline.
